PIERCING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By endorsing this form, I affirm that I have thoroughly reviewed and comprehended the details outlined herein. I have also been furnished with a copy of the Aftercare Procedure, acknowledging the potential risks if not diligently adhered to. In full awareness of these risks, I grant consent for the piercing of my ear(s) by a representative of this store. While the store assumes liability for injuries resulting from its negligence, I acknowledge my responsibility and accountability for any other injuries, especially those arising from a failure to adhere to the aftercare procedure accurately.
If I am signing on behalf of a minor, I provide all necessary consents for the piercing, recognizing that it is my duty to ensure the minor's consent and happiness with the procedure. I accept sole responsibility for ensuring strict adherence to all aftercare procedures. In instances where a minor displays distress regarding the piercing, the procedure will not be completed. I confirm the accuracy and completeness of the information disclosed in this form, accepting full liability for any consequences arising from false or omitted information. I also affirm the accuracy of the medical history information and declare that I am not presently under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Furthermore, I grant permission for the piercer to retain the details provided on this form in compliance with local authority regulations.
AFTERCARE PROCEDURE FOR YOUR PIERCING
By consenting to this piercing, I confirm that I have been made aware of and have read and understood the following information. I understand that the possibility of infection may exist due to improper hygiene, metal sensitivity or other causes, however the most common is due to failure to carefully follow the recommended aftercare procedure. I therefore undertake to follow carefully the aftercare procedure:

Wash hands thoroughly before touching the jewellery or ear.
Cleanse front and back of the ear 2 to 3 times a day with your chosen aftercare solution - STUDEX ADVANCED AFTERCARE or STUDEX AFTER PIERCING LOTION.
While cleaning, gentle rotate the jewellery 2 to 3 times, 180° left and 180° right i.e. a half turn only, thus avoiding hair wrapping around the post at the back of the ear. In between cleansing, the ear should be kept DRY.
Keep hair spray, soap, shampoo and other preparations away from the ear. After shampooing, the ear should be rinsed with clear water and then cleansed with your STUDEX aftercare product as described above.
Due to the nature of ear piercing, exposure of newly pierced ears to certain environments such as swimming, and participation in athletic events (exercising) may increase the likelihood of infection.
The piercing area should be cleansed with STUDEX aftercare product then kept DRY, especially after bathing, swimming or exercise.
For cartilage piercing, extra care should be taken when sleeping, putting on and removing items of clothing and when wearing headphones. Due to the nature of cartilage piercing, pay attention to the piercing site and ensure it is fully healed before changing jewellery.
DO NOT remove earrings or handle them unnecessarily.
DO NOT push the butterfly along the post towards the ear. The butterfly must always be positioned at the tip of the post. Feel the position each time you clean the ear - it must feel smooth. This ensures that the earring remains LOOSE during the healing period. This is essential as tight earrings may lead to inflammation and increase the risk of embedding.
Minor pain/ redness may occur immediately - this is normal. This will settle within 48 hours provided proper aftercare is carried out. If undue pain / swelling / redness occurs at any time, seek medical advice immediately.
Failure to properly follow aftercare procedures or seek immediate medical advice should a problem occur, may result in permanent damage to the ear/ear cartilage.
